Pearl Ridge was seeking Energy Savings and turned to The Chelsea Group to develop their Energy Conservation Measures that would take into consideration the Life Cycle cost of ownership for their mechanical equipment. After crunching the numbers the engineering team concluded that Smardt chillers were not only the most energy efficient but easiest to maintain, further reducing the cost of ownership from costly repair and downtime.
The Chiller’s coil fins included Smardt’s “Nano Coating”, which doesn’t require any washing or maintenance. The nano technology prevents the smallest molecules from sticking to it’s surface. The coating is rated for 3,000 hours of ASTM B117 salt spray test.
